For years, under the frameworks of the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation and the Belt and Road Initiative, Sinomach's SUMEC has aligned with national strategies to foster the African market, expanded areas of cooperation and delivered high-quality projects. By promoting Chinese brands globally, ensuring a stable and efficient supply chain, and contributing to Africa's economic and social development, SUMEC is actively working to improve the well-being of local communities and build a strong China-Africa community with a shared future.
Standby power station project in Southern Africa
At the heart of southern Africa lies the KAKK project, the largest copper mine on the continent and the third largest in the world. SUMEC Electromechanical has been instrumental in supporting this venture, continuously enhancing the quality of FIRMAN diesel generators. By delivering tailored solutions and providing a 24/7 "full life cycle" service, SUMEC has supplied 115 high-power generators with a total installed capacity of 230MW to the project, reinforcing its role in Africa's energy infrastructure.
EPC project of National Data Center in the Republic of the Congo
SUMEC is also leading on the construction of the National Data Center in the Republic of the Congo, an EPC project that includes one underground and four above-ground floors, equipped with advanced electrical, HVAC and intelligent systems. Upon completion, this landmark building will not only redefine the skyline of Brazzaville but also serve as a vital component of the Central African fiber backbone network. The project aims to position Congo as a digital economy hub in the region. With the main structure complete and data center equipment en route, the project is progressing steadily, contributing to the development of the local digital economy.
