Sinomach helps pave way for industrial revolution in Africa

Power engineering: Bringing light to thousands

Ethiopia's Reppie waste-to-energy plant



As Africa's first waste-to-energy plant, this project exemplifies Ethiopia's commitment to green energy. Using Chinese technology and equipment, the plant processes 1,800 tons of waste per day and generates 185 million kilowatt hours of electricity annually, supplying one-third of the households in Addis Ababa. It is one of the two projects in Ethiopia involved in international carbon emissions trading.

Zungeru hydropower project, Nigeria



The Zungeru project is Nigeria's largest hydropower station, with multiple functions that include power generation, flood control, irrigation, aquaculture and shipping. It provides electricity for two cities of similar size to the capital Abuja, enhancing grid stability and alleviating power shortages across the country.

Industrial projects: Driving economic growth

Chad's Baoré cement plant



As Chad's first cement plant, this project ended the country's dependence on cement imports, laying the foundation for a domestic cement industry. It has also helped develop local talent and fostered industrial and economic growth in Chad.

Mercedes-Benz South Africa factory and warehouse project



This state-of-the-art warehouse, the first of its kind in South Africa with a 30 joule per hour capacity, was the world's first to implement the Daimler Integra 6.0 standard. The project has significantly boosted South Africa's automotive industry, supporting regional economic growth.
